Earth Hour 2008 – Make a difference!
Last year, on 31 March 2007, the good folks at Sydney turned off their lights for 1 hour – Earth Hour. By doing so, they’ve made it possible for each and every one of us to take an action on global warming.
Earth Hour is back for 2008 and now other cities around the world, like Toronto, Chicago and many more getting into the act. Are you?
Here are some things you can do to help…
- Visit http://www.earthhour.org/, watch the video and sign up!
- Do your part and turn off the lights at 8pm on 29th March 2008
- Tell your friends, family, neighbour, Facebook, MySpace about Earth Hour – just spread the word.
- Petition to your local government reps, or even your local shopping mall to turn off the lights – if not all the lights, at least the majority of the lights.
This is not my usual PHP related story, but it is nevertheless an important topic.
Global warming affects us all, we have only this planet and we have no where to run. Think on that.
